TENNESSEE VOLS VS FLORIDA GATORS…SLIDERS FOR TAILGATING

Tennessee and Gator helmets with Tailgating napkins

Just in time for the Tennessee Vols/Florida Gators game in Knoxville…sliders are perfect for tailgating.

THIS VIDEO FROM TASTY WILL MAKE YOUR MOUTH WATER!

With the Tennessee Volunteers taking on the Florida Gators in Knoxville, I thought a Tennessee Slider and a Florida Slider would be appropriate.

These Tennessee sliders were inspired by my college days favorite… steamed sub from famous Sam & Andy’s Deli.

Ingredients

  • 12-pack of dinner rolls or Hawaiian sweet rolls
  • 1 pound turkey, sliced
  • 8 ounces smoked cheddar cheese, sliced
  • Dijon mustard

Instructions

  1. Slice the rolls in half lengthwise.
  2. Layer turkey and smoked cheddar cheese on bottom half of rolls.
  3. Spread mustard on top half of rolls and place on top.
  4. Wrap in foil.
  5. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
  6. Slice, then serve!

Notes

You could try the Tasty method...Place rolls in a pyrex dish instead of foil. Baste with butter and bake. Slice and then wrap in foil to transport to a tailgate. Take to tailgate in a carryall with hot packs to keep warm.
