This Valentine’s Day give your love an original hand painted flower painting.  Everyone loves flowers and these petite flower paintings, all original, make the perfect gift.  And what could be better than  flowers that last forever?

In this post I’m showcasing a hydrangea series!  I love hydrangeas…their color…their shapes and of course they look great “dead or alive”!  These paintings are 4″x 4″ and come with a gold easel… to set on a special table or grouped together as a series…specially priced for Valentine’s Day  $50.

I’ll be sharing a few famous hydrangea quotes with each painting.  There’s just something about hiding under or in the hydrangea bushes!

From “Under the Tuscan Sun”…one of my favorite books and movies…

“At Bramasole, the first secret spot that draws me outside is a stump and board bench on a high terrace overlooking the lake and valley. Before I sit down, I must bang the board against a tree to knock off all the ants. Then I’m happy. With a stunted oak tree for shelter and a never-ending view, I am hidden. No one knows where I am. The nine-year-old’s thrill of the hideout under the hydrangea comes back: My mother is calling me and I am not answering.” — Frances Mayes

“Harry Potter’s appearance did not endear him to the neighbours, who were the sort of people who thought scruffiness ought to be punishable by law, but as he had hidden himself behind a large hydrangea bush this evening he was quite invisible to passers-by.”  J.K Rowling

“Over here in the hydrangea  bushes.”  Mary tells George in It’s a Wonderful Life when she hides in the hydrangea bushes after losing her robe when George steps on the robe’s belt. Frank Capra’s “It’s A Wonderful Life”

And this quote from Toni Morrison is so true!

“A dead hydrangea is as intricate and lovely as one in bloom.”

Each painting will be packaged in clear bag with color appropriate ribbon.
