I love the thought of using favorite ornaments as inspiration for a painting. I’ve painted a series of snowmen the last few years. Each year I add a new addition for any clients who are collecting the series. The 4″x4″ size is perfect for Christmas gifts or to nestle within your own Christmas tree.
This year’s addition is “MR. PATRIOTIC SNOWMAN” , inspired by the upcoming celebration of America’s 250th year.
These paintings are 4″x 4″ acrylic on gessoboard and come with a gold easel… to set on a special table or grouped together as a series…or as previously stated…to nestle within your tree.

I use a metallic gold gesso as the first coat…then paint the snowman and make sure the gold shines through, using a special tool.
